I’ve been inspired by one of my favorite blogs - A Beautiful Mess - to create some goals that will enrich my life, make me happier. Sounds fun, right? And I get to pick some sort of fun reward for achieving my goals.
Here are my goals:
- Make a meal with tofu once a week. I love tofu, but am horrible at cooking it. I can never get the right crispy on the outside, soft on the inside texture. I have a tofu cookbook I picked up at a thrift store a while back that I plan on using to help me out with this goal.
- Get outside - outside of my neighborhood. I have a beautiful park/pond right next to my home which gives me a good excuse to keep my outdoor activities close to home. There are so many beautiful outdoor places nearby that I should explore too. I think Dexter will like this goal.
- Learn to knit. I once swore I would never be one of those knitting-on-the-train ladies. Well, I still don’t plan to knit while commuting, but I have been getting the knitting bug. And I know, I’m about three years late to the trend. C’est la vie.
- Be more tidy. Lately, I’ve been such a mess. I just throw things wherever and it’s created a lot of little messes around the apartment. And I’m not as productive when my space - living and work - isn’t tidy.
For my reward, I’m thinking of something photography related. I’ve been wanting to improve my photography skills - so maybe some books and getting Photoshop Elements.
What do you think? Is this something you would want to do? If you end up trying it, let me know. I’d love to hear all about it.
