Winks And Whistles

Living. Learning. Laughing.

Goodbye NYC - For Now

These last few days in the city have been such fun. I trekked to Levain Bakery and now know why everyone raves about their cookies. I bought some Minnetonkas that I’ve been lusting after and did a lot of window shopping and browsing of fancy stores - I stumbled upon Opening Ceremony and Intermix - swoon! I spent a few hours exploring Chinatown and Chad and I had some of the best Thai of our lives right here in Hell’s Kitchen. Dexter and I continued to visit Central Park and Chad managed to find a Tennessee alumni bar in the city. Oh, and I discovered the absolute best cafe in our NYC neighborhood. I can’t wait to go back.

I’m headed home today and to be totally honest, I think I’m really going to miss NYC. Even though it smells and more often than not, there’s trash on just about every street, I get it. I get why people love living here. I’m hoping to be back in a few weeks - for how long, I’m not so sure. But I’m also really looking forward to being home. I think Dexter is too.
