Book Club Field Trip
Remember when book club read Wild by Cheryl Strayed? It was my favorite. It was a lot of people’s favorite.
Well, Cheryl Strayed was in town recently to promote her new book, Tiny Beautiful Things. A few of us couldn’t resist going to see her.
The reading was packed. Before it started, I got a peak of the author peaking at the audience and I waved. Like a fan girl wave. And she smiled. And I was a little giddy about that.
She even read a little from Wild. And Cheryl Strayed is just really awesome. I mean, I want her to be my writing mentor. That’s how much more I love her now than before.
