Kitchen Tip: Make Your Own Scouring Pad
I can’t take credit for this great idea, but I thought I would pass it on to all of you. Did you know that you could make your own scouring pad basically for free?
I don’t remember where I originally saw this idea, but I can’t remember the last time I actually bought a scouring pad from the store.
All you need are:
- scissors
- twine or some kind of rope
- mesh bags that your fruits and vegetables come in at the grocery store
Homemade scouring pads are the easiest thing to make. Just cut the mesh down to desired scouring pad size and tie a piece of twine in the middle.
And ta-da! Your very own scouring pad. I love this because I’m saving money and am able to reuse packaging. Win-win for my pennies and hopefully a little bit for the environment too.
