Winks And Whistles

Living. Learning. Laughing.
Bonjour, La Tour Eiffel

It took us almost a week, but Chad and I finally got up close to the Eiffel Tower yesterday. Well, technically we got up close the night before, but this was our first daytime excursion.

I would absolutely recommend seeing the Eiffel Tower up close both during the day and at night. It is just such a different experience.

First we hung out in the Parc du Champs-de-Mars, which is a great place to have a picnic while enjoying the magnificent monument that is the Eiffel Tower. You can bring a picnic and just relax.

Next we hiked up to the Trocadero for another view after the recommendation from Michelle, our friend that we had dinner with the other night. We were instructed not to look back until we had reached the top of the stairs, of which there were many. Michelle described it as being very special.

And she was right! It’s an absolutely breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower with the Trocadero Gardens and all of its magnificent fountains in sight too. This area is also a very popular spot for people to just hang out with their friends.

I can’t believe it took us so long to get to the Eiffel Tower, but we did it!

Au revoir!
