Winks And Whistles

A Parisian Dinner Date

Did you know that I have a friend in Paris? Well, now actually I have two. And having friends in Paris is kind of the best - especially when you’re visiting this incredible city.

Chad and I met Michelle and Olivier for dinner the other night and it was one of the most fun nights we’ve had in Paris. Chad and I know Michelle from our Miami days. Olivier is Michelle’s incredibly sweet, handsome and smart French boyfriend.

Besides the fact that Michelle and Olivier are fantastic company, it was so nice to take a break from the pressure of trying to figure out menus. Chad and I are pretty good at deciphering the French words we don’t know, but Olivier swooped in and translated everything we weren’t sure of.

We ate at Les Bonnes Soeurs and oh wow was every single thing we ordered amazingly delicious. The restaurant was in the fancy part of town I told you that we visited on our bike tour. You know, the one with the super fancy back yards/gardens.

After dinner, Olivier insisted on giving us the nighttime driving tour of Paris. I’m so glad he did. Seeing Paris at night is just breathtaking. And Olivier was a great local guide for us.

I got to see where the French president lives and the old and oh so beautiful opera house. What else did I see for the first time up close? The Eiffel Tower!

Olivier parked and we got out and looked around. It’s so beautiful and massive and just stunning. Especially when lit up at night.

I can’t thank Michelle and Olivier enough for being such great hosts. From dinner to friendly conversation to our private Parisian tour.

Merci beaucoup a million times over!
