Off To France I Go!
If you’re reading this sometime between Wednesday night and early Thursday morning (EST), I’m likely asleep on an Air France plane en route to Paris. Yes, that’s right. Paris!
The honeymoon is finally here! I’ve always been a good airplane sleeper. I pop a Dramamine (ugh, motion sickness) and promptly fall asleep for most of the trip. If I’m extra lucky, I’ll wake up in time for breakfast and then sleep the rest of the way afterwards.
I made a few beauty purchases just for this trip. Thankfully Birchbox carried everything that I was looking for.
The headband I purchased is actually mint green with deer frolicking on it (so cute!) and it is the most amazing headband I’ve ever purchased. It has a wire inside the fabric that molds to however you want to shape it. I’d be surprised if I wore this headband less than 5 times a week while honeymooning. It’s that amazing.
I am equally in love with the hair ties. They don’t yank your hair out and don’t leave marks in your hair from ponytails. And … a big and … they don’t give me ponytail headaches. AMAZING!
I also decided to pick up some hair powder. While in France I’m going to try to stick with my routine of only washing my hair twice a week and decided to give this product a go. I normally just use baby powder to pick up the oil but this product is supposedly better for you because it’s eco-conscious and health-savvy. I’ll give you a more thorough report on whether or not it’s worth the price tag, which is considerably more expensive than baby powder.
I also picked up my absolute favorite lip balm. I lost my newly purchased one over Memorial Day weekend and couldn’t even think about going without it while in France. This stuff is just the best. You can read my original review of it here.
But back to the headband. I really can’t endorse it enough. And here is the video that convinced me I had to have it.
