Up Close With The Revs
At the last New England Revolution home game, Chad and I got to go down on the field before the game to watch the team warm up. We usually get to the games early enough to do this, but we usually only can watch from our seats. Actually being on the field and being so close to the players was really fun.

We, of course, got there right at the earliest we were able to. So there was only one player and a coach on the field at first.

The Revs mascot, Slyde, came around. I had to fight my way in between screaming elementary school kids to get a photo with him.

And then there was the team. Up close. Eeeeeh! I was standing next to a group of elementary school girls that were on a soccer team together. My excitement level matched theirs, but I was able to refrain from screaming so as not to embarrass Chad.

The player with the bleached blonde hair is Saer Sene. He’s my favorite player this year (I switch favorite players each season). He’s so tall for a soccer player. He’s from France, is the team’s leading goal scorer this season and he’s just such a badass.

Above is Lee Nguyen. He’s my second fave this year. We picked him up after he was (stupidly) dropped from Vancouver. When the Revs played the Whitecaps at home this season, Nguyen scored two goals for the Revs in what turned out to be a 4-1 win over Vancouver. It was pretty amazing.

The player closest in the photo above is Benny Feilhaber. He’s my standby fave. He’s just an all around great player and he’s not too bad on the eyes either. He’s also my sister Nicole’s fave. This next photo is for you, Nicole.

I have one more home game this Saturday before we leave for my wedding. Here’s to hoping we win it!
