Hello! I am composing this blog post from my very own iPad. Yes. I have finally entered the digitally cool clique and have my very own iPad. And it’s all thanks to Chad. This is my wedding gift. A little early, I know. But I am not complaining.
Chad knew I’d been drooling over them since before the first version was even released and thought this would be a much better option than my heavy laptop to take with me on our French honeymoon. He’s the best, right???
His reason for giving it to me early is so that I’ll have plenty of time to familiarize myself with the iPad. Like finding all the apps I want and learning how to best use the photo and blogging apps so I can keep up Winks And Whistles during the honeymoon. I know. He knows me too well.
Unfortunately, Tumblr doesn’t have an iPad app. Boo! So, I’m testing out this Tumblita app. It was the best of all the very mixed reviews for various Tumblr apps for the iPad. So far, it’s not perfect in what I’m looking for, i.e. exactly what is offered when I’m on my laptop. But hopefully I’ll figure out some way of making it all work before leaving for France.
Chad even got me a keyboard and camera converter kit for the iPad. I won’t lie and say that this gift was a surprise. I was lying in bed right next to him when he ordered it for me, telling him which color iPad cover I liked the best.
Right now I’m loving the Flipboard app. I especially love looking at Instagram on it. And I’m super excited about converting all of my magazine subscriptions to digital versions.
Does anyone have any recommendations for iPad apps? Anything that you love?
